Photo by @TimLaman. Snow is in the forecast! Yeah! Photo by @TimLaman. Snow is in the forecast! Yeah! I love photographing birds in the snow. This is a Red-crowned Crane, coming in for a landing in a snowstorm. One of my all time favorites, made in Japan twenty years ago after weeks of chasing cranes and snowstorms around Hokkaido. Published in NatGeo magazine as a double page back in 2002. Perfection is never achieved in wildlife photography, but some shots come closer than others. This image is definitely in the final selects for my book project “Chasing Birds” that I’m editing from my lifetime in pursuit of birds all over the planet. This image called “Snowfall - Red-crowned Crane” still stands the test of time, and hangs on my wall. (P.S. You can hang it on yours too. Be sure to check out my pre-Valentines Day flash sale this coming weekend at the link in bio.)
